CLASS DESCRIPTION

YOGA
All yoga styles are Hatha Yoga which is the bringing together of body and mind. Yoga is an ancient, classical, scientific art-form, designed to develop the practitioner in all aspects of living, bringing peace and harmony to both body and mind. The true meaning of yoga is to raise our Consciousness to higher states of Being. The postures and breath combined create the perfect environment for change and growth.

DANCE OF LIFE YOGA -eclectic styles encompassing many forms including asanas (postures), breath control, chakra awareness, relaxation and meditation, in order to expand, develop and strengthen each and every student individually.

IYENGAR STYLE -perfecting alignment balance, breath and awareness. Exploring the many and varied postures for the body.

POWER flOW & VINYASA -sequences joined together by the breath thus enabling the practitioner to experience an aerobic approach to yoga, stimulating the physical system in a powerful and purifying way.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE -fusing classical/modern/jazz in varying formations and developments, with rhythms and styles enhanced by music.

PILATES -mat style pilates is well known as a muscle toning system and for body sculpting.

YOGA NIDRA -deep relaxation/psychic sleep reaching very deep levels of the subconscious mind, releasing tension and fear. The resolutions made during the practice create lasting transformations in one's life.

CHANTING -once a month chanting songs (bhajans and mantras with the accompaniment of the harmonium and drum brings joy and peace.

AMMA SATSANGS - twice a month 1st & 3rd Fridays, chanting bhajans & mantras, accompanied on harmonium and drum. Includes meditation.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Wear comfortable and loose clothing.

Inform your teacher of any injuries you have before class.

Arrive for class at least 5 minutes before starting time.

Food: allow I hour before and after class before eating a meal.

All ages and levels of fitness are welcome.

Remember yoga is non-competitive and you work at your own level.

Classes are on-going throughout the year.

YOGA LEVEL TO SUIT YOU

Introductory Level is suitable for new comers to yoga and those returning to yoga after a long absence.

Level I & II indicates a flexibility to suit the participants and their capacities.

General Level is suitable for those who have practiced yoga for 6 months or more.

Intermediate Level is suitable for students who wish to develop their own practice in strength and flexibility.

Guided general practice -experience essential.

PAYMENT FOR CLASSES

Casual rate is $ 15 per class / concession $13 per class.

Single early morning guided yoga Practice session $10

Yogi Pass -$ 130 full & $ 120 concession for 10 classes anytime

 

SATURDAY FULL MOON CHANTING NIGHTS

Time: 6.00 -8.00 p.m. Full moon chanting nights March 22, April 19, May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 13, October 18, November 15, December 13. All welcome. Chanting is accompanied with harmonium and drums. Please feel free to bring your own instrument too.
