EUGENIE (MAHESWARI) KNOX founded the Dance of Life Yoga Studio in 1974-2008.
JOHANNES MOCHAYEDI (DIRECTOR) studied yoga from 1995 in Australia at the Dance of Life and Astanga Yoga in Mysore, India. He is a certified Bikram Yoga teacher, and studied at the Yoga College of India in L.A.
He also teaches Power Flow Yoga. He believes yoga is a powerful vehicle for healing emotional and energetic blockages, enhancing deeper levels of self-acceptance and understanding of others.
JO WINDRED draws her inspiration for teaching from her years of Iyengar yoga practice at the Dance of Life studio and yogic studies at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India, and shares her joy of yoga as the key to expansion and inner blossoming.
ELIZABETH BELL has studied yoga with Cosmologists Maggie Nimmo and Eugenie Knox, Swami Satyananda in Bihar, India and in the inspired system of Vanda Scaravelli through Diane Long in Rome. She completed her Yoga Teacher?s Certificate at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta in Kerala, 2003. Elizabeth works deeply, intuitively and playfully with an emphasis on vital energy, fluidity, breath control and core strength.
JOANNA CARROLL dancer/choreographer/pilates and yoga teacher is also a qualified teacher of visual arts and sculpture. She has a graduate diploma in Movement and Dance with additional studies in Classical Ballet and contemporary dance forms.
MICHELLE BARNETT trained at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India, Michelle believes that yoga is much more than developing strength and flexibility. Yoga brings health, balance, awareness and peace.
PAMELA (SRI VIDYA) RAULEDER teaches a creative breath-centered style of Vinyasa yoga. She has completed teacher trainings in India with A.G. Mohan, direct student of Sri Krichmamacharya, and with the Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Ashram, Himalayas. She loves to share yoga and its power to reveal truth and to establish balance with others.
MICHELLE GIORDMAINA. With a background in Dance, Michelle began her transition to yoga in 2001. Since then, she has practised primarily at the Dance of Life. She completed her yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India at the beginning of 2008 and has taught a strong style of Hatha yoga, with Iyengar influences, since then. Michelle's classes focus on strength, flexibility and postural alignment and also cultivate body and breath awareness. She hopes to share her experience of yoga as a pathway to physical, mental and spiritual strength.
OLIVIA BRYANT. Olivia trained in Hatha Vinyasa in New York City. Expect a flowing, graceful practice with a touch of playful eccentricity! Olivia draws on her experience as a dancer and artist to help students express themselves both on and off the mat. She balances soulfulness and inner body awareness with practical alignment principles that bring strength and softness to each pose. Her practice explores how we can connect to the heart and move from our center, creating a sensual, joyful experience for the student that brings each asana to life.
SHEEKA was trained at the prestigious Shakti School of Dance in Rajasthan,India with Master Guru Padma Sur Cheran Dehury. She has also performed in Temple Dance Festival in Rajasthan and at the Rishikesh Cultural Centre in the Himalayas. She performed in front of thousands at the National Stadium in Ajmer City for India's Independence Day celebrations and at the famous Night market in Goa, Dharamsala and in Supperclub Asia, a renowned dining cum performance space originating from Amsterdam. More recently at Australasian Conference of Sacred Sexuality in Victoria, the Island Vibe Festival in Stradbroke Island, at the Cabaret Stage at Peats Ridge Festival in NSW and Rainbow Serpent Festival in Victoria.
NINA comes from a background of martial arts and yoga and practices as a massage therapist. Her style combines insights from these areas and focuses on balancing strength and intention with flexibility and growth in self awareness. The aim is enhanced alertness and appreciation of both of your body and mind. Nina's classes are versatile and detailed, enabling you to explore postures deeply and get to know better your body's needs and abilities. In this way, you become self-aware, strong and mindful - great conditions for a healthier life.
